General Discipline

1. Students should realise that they are responsible to the school authorities not only for their conduct in school but also for their general behavior outside. Any reported or observed objectionable conduct out of school on the part of Students shall make them liable to disciplinary action.

Care is taken to ensure that no untoward mishap occurs while your child is with us. However, accidents can occur, either in the school premises, or while the children are on the school bus, or at a picnic, the school will bear no financial responsibility.

Likewise, if there is a problem in the city (eg. riots), and parents feel that venturing outside the house is risky, they are advised to keep their child at home; or leave them at school, at their own risk.

2. Regular attendance is one of the conditions under which a student is admitted. No leave of absence is granted except on previous written application from the parents/ guardians and then only for serious reasons which should be mentioned. Absence without leave renders a student liable to a fine. Such absence before or after holidays renders a student liable to be struck off the rolls.

3. Regular attendance and study habits prompt obedience, courtesy in speech and conduct, cleanliness of dress are expected from each student.

4. A student who has been absent from school for a long time should be admitted to class with the Principal’s signature in the Dairy. Students who are late will be sent to the Principal’s or Incharge for their signature.

5. A student of school-going age is not expected to take part in political activities.

6. A student must look after his own belongings, raincoats, caps, sweater, umbrellas, tiffin carriers and all books must be marked with the name and class of the owner. It is not advisable for a student to have money or any other valuable article with him. No rings or ornaments of any type are to be worn in school. Neither expensive watches nor other valuables are to be used in school.

7. Each student must have his own Dairy and bring it to school every day. Parents should check the Dairy of their children from time to time. A student who looses his Dairy will have to pay a fine of Rs. 50/- and buy a new one.

8. Student’s birthdays may be celebrated in a modest way i.e. by distributing sweets or small chocolates only. Students from class IX – XII must wear school uniform only on birthdays.

9. Provision for parents meeting is made at the last day of each month. Students will have to come with parents to see their report and classes will remain off
